FAQ
What are A Dental Implants?
Dental implants are a permanent tooth replacement option that uses Titanium metal posts to replace your natural tooth roots. An artificial porcelain crown is installed on the portion of the post (abutment) that extends from your gum tissue. This process takes between 2-5 visits depending on your case severity.

How can I prepare for dental implants?
As you prepare for your procedure, it is critical that you share the full details of your health history with us, including any medications or supplements you are taking. You should also be prepared to follow all post-operative instructions to reduce the risk of infection.
If you are a smoker, make every effort to quit in advance of your implant procedure. Smoking impedes your body’s ability to heal and is also incredibly harmful to your gum tissue.

DENTAL IMPLANT DESIGN
1. Titanium Root: First step is to make sure the root is installed
2. Abutment: The device that attaches to the root is the abutment and must be installed before covering the tooth
3. The Porcelain Crown: As hard, if not harder than a real tooth the porcelain crown top off the dental implant providing for a strong and elegantly rooted and naturally looking tooth

HARDEN BONE TO BONE
Bone grafting is the process of using your own bone to replace missing bone. Consider this, it is natural for a person to lose bone around a missing tooth. However, before implants can be placed the bone must be strengthened. Your bone tissue is used to fill the void left by the missing tooth/teeth. After about 2-4 months the bone will grown back. As a result of bone grafting, there is a much higher rate of implant(s) success.
